Barcelona 'agrees to loan' Denis Saurez to Arsenal

It was off, then it was on, and then it was off again. But finally, Denis Saurez to Arsenal looks like it might be happening.

Cadena Cope and Mundo Deportivo are both reporting that Bacelona have agreed to loan the midfielder after he signed a one-year contract extension.

Saurez will join Arsenal until the end of the season with an option to buy, believe to be around $22.8 million.

Luis Suarez has sent a message to Barcelona team-mate Denis Saurez ahead of his temporary move to Arsenal.

The midfielder is poised to join the Gunners for the rest of the campiagn after the clubs agreed a loan fee of around 2.2 million euros for his services.

Arsenal could make the deal permanent in the summer for around $22.8 million if it is successful.

Uruguayan striker Saurez took to social media on Tuesday night to wish his pal well.

He poseted a picture of the pair alongside the caption: "Good luck little Galician in his new challenge."

Suarez made 46 La Liga appearances for Barcelona after joining from Villarreal in 2016, scoring three goals.
